The cycle path follows the route of the old railway line, which connected the city of Bolzano to Appiano and Caldaro, taking you through a wonderful landscape of vineyards and orchards studded with castles and historic houses.

Cycle path to the area of the Bassa Atesina 25 km

This route is part of the Claudia Augusta Cycle Route Augsburg-Venice. Starting from Appiano you head to Salorno through fruit orchards and castle landscapes.

The route takes you from Appiano to Ponte Adige and then on to Merano, along the course of the Adige river.

From Appiano to Bolzano along the old railway track you continue to Chiusa and Bressanone through the Isarco Valley.
